Newest Legislative Branch Blocks Trump Administration From Ending DACA

Newest Legislative Branch Blocks Trump Administration From Ending DACA You get one guess as to where U.S. District Judge and newest Legal Legislator William Alsup, who on Tuesday blocked the Trump administration from rescinding the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program is from? Hint: Where after jumping on a streetcar you realize you are one of only two people who speak English…

(Washington Examiner) — A federal judge on Tuesday blocked the Trump administration from rescinding the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which protects those who were brought to the U.S. illegally as children from facing deportation if they meet certain qualifications.

U.S. District Judge William Alsup, who is based in San Francisco, ordered the Trump administration to renew parts of the program and to start accepting renewal applications from those already part of the program while related lawsuits make their way through the legal system. However, the judge did not demand that new applications be accepted.

Alsup argued the administration’s assertion that DACA was unlawful appeared to be “based on a flawed legal premise.”

The ruling permits prior DACA recipients who did not renew their applications ahead of an Oct. 5 deadline the opportunity to submit renewal applications and demands the administration permit future applications that will expire to be renewed, provided the order isn’t halted by a higher court.

Been awhile, let’s have another discussion. Well, I will say I can live with the law of the land, and if and when a real ruling on DACA comes based on current laws, wrong or right it will be enacted and accepted for what it is. But painting this topic with such a tiny little brush and about where U.S. District Judge William Alsup is “based” or fear of anyone who doesn’t speak english does a great disservice. So much more to consider. How about Trumps own tweets on the subject from back in September: “Does anybody really want to throw out good, educated and accomplished young people who have jobs, some serving in the military? Really!” the president wrote in a Sept. 14 tweet. Another read: “Congress now has 6 months to legalize DACA (something the Obama Administration was unable to do). If they can’t, I will revisit this issue!” Seems more like another political s**t show to me. The hypocrisy of our government continues. Now, trying to bargain building a wall that you were mislead to believe Mexico will pay for with support or rejection of DACA is even MORE incredulous. What happened to these, “good, educated and accomplished young people who have jobs, some serving in the military” that he spoke of in his Tweet? Some in the MILITARY. You’re right, F’ them all!!!

    • All GREAT points ‘Mi Amigo’. I do truly believe that many of the DACA Dreamers who have made an attempt to assimilate, serve and become model citizens deserve the opportunity to become American citizens. However, I do not agree with rogue legislators dressed in black robes usurping the rule of law because of their LIBTARD or Republicrat ideology. And of course, where do most of these self empowered members of the fourth branch of government reside?
