‘Happy Humping!’ — RandallsBPU (7/29/2020)

The 12 of you who have been following my blog have surely (And, don’t call me Shirley) noticed that I have been playing around with different daily post formats. Or, the structure and way I present information I choose to pass along.

With the constant daily distractions here at the BPU Compound (Never ending) combined with the onset of Attention Deficit Disorder as I get older, time to fully explore and expand on a thought or idea doesn’t happen until about the time I am pooped out, drank to much or, no longer give a S**t.

As of today I will post one blog daily. It will be more like a daily journal updated throughout with stories of interest, silliness, smarcasticness, thoughts, ideas and stupidity as it comes to me. I also have a couple other ideas I am working on but not quite yet ready to get that off the ground just yet.

My sincerest and most grateful THANK YOU to all of you who visit the Barley Pop.

If you have something to say, pass along or feel like saying hello and do not want to share in the comments please feel free to email me: randall@randallsbpu.com

Study: 75 Percent of Americans Now Believe Things Will Never Go Back to Normal

Big League PoliticsA recent study has shown that a stunning 75 percent of Americans believe that things will never return to normal after COVID-19 mass hysteria has transformed society virtually overnight.

The survey of 2,000 Americans conducted by OnePoll shows that the media-generated fear has resonated severely with the masses. 59 percent of respondents are too afraid to go back to their workplace with others, and 36 percent do not believe they will ever be able to return to a shared workspace without putting themselves or loved ones in danger. 63 percent believe their job will never be the same and anticipate working from home for at least the rest of the year.

Treatment with Hydroxychloroquine Cut Death Rate Significantly in COVID-19 Patients, Henry Ford Health System Study Shows

While Facebook, Twitter, Snatchscratch and now web hosting platforms are deleting any post or one who mentions the possible benefits of the use of Hydroxychloroquine for the treatment of the Chinese Kung-flu there is this little study from Henry Ford Health Systems.

Then again, at $8.00 a bottle of Hydroxychloroquine vs THOUSANDS of $$$ for a newly developed medications, ‘You see where I am going with this?’ (3:10PM EST)

Henry Ford Health System hydroxychloroquine study DETROIT – Treatment with hydroxychloroquine cut the death rate significantly in sick patients hospitalized with COVID-19 – and without heart-related side-effects, according to a new study published by Henry Ford Health System.

In a large-scale retrospective analysis of 2,541 patients hospitalized between March 10 and May 2, 2020 across the system’s six hospitals, the study found 13% of those treated with hydroxychloroquine alone died compared to 26.4% not treated with hydroxychloroquine. None of the patients had documented serious heart abnormalities; however, patients were monitored for a heart condition routinely pointed to as a reason to avoid the drug as a treatment for COVID-19.

The study was published today in the International Journal of Infectious Diseases, the peer-reviewed, open-access online publication of the International Society of Infectious Diseases (ISID.org).
